Enjoy strong mood of nostalgia in the two biggest ruins in Xinjiang, Jiaohe and Gaochang Ancient Ruins, view well-protected historical architecture like Emin Pagoda and Karez, taste the cute Turpan traditional trade form Bazaar and gorgeous natural landscape of the Flaming Mountains.

This day gives you a show of one complete architectural spot plus two glorious historical remains.

Arrive in Turpan by car from Urumqi, then visit Emin Pagoda(3km from downtown Turpan), the largest ancient pagoda in Xinjiang and symbol of ethnic harmony.

OK, let’s move on for Jiaohe Ancient Ruins(10km from downtown Turpan). Your sigh for the gone glory of years will be stronger than ever when standing upon the perfect ruins in the world.

Karez(6km from downtown Turpan), on the other hand, shows you a micro scope of how Turpan people fight against killing arid climate.

Next let Gaochang Ancient Ruins(30 minutes car ride) tell you centuries of nude Northwest history of China.

The third hit is Astana Graves(2km from Gaochang Ancient Ruins). Have good moments in the understated underground museum of Turpan ethnic integration.

OK, time for Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves(8km from Gaochang Ancient Ruins) and enjoy visual feast of Buddha cave art.

Finally you’d go past the Flaming Mountains. Just imagine the picture of blazing rock interlaced with sunset glow!

Dear Nancy, I’m back in America yet my thoughts are all about the pretty good tour guides, hotels, restaurants and spots of the tour. I think I really enjoyed every moment with them.

I’d like to clap my hands more for the cute exotic restaurants you recommended. Every inch of them came with Xinjiang tone. Besides, I had great luck to have all those enthusiastic tour guides all along my path in Xinjiang. They were terrific.

Dear Sara, For my fantastic Xinjiang tour I’d like to say a huge thank-you here.The travellings went so smooth around Kashgar, Urumqi and Turpan. Though sometimes we got to face bumpy situations, our drivers never let us down. The same it was with our thoughtful guides. My little girl didn’t feel that well at first in sweltering outskirts of Turpan, but with the caring guides and the protective tools they brought along, she was fine then.

I love most spots in my tour. They showed me bulks of knowledge about Xinjiang that I’d never known before. By the way, I enjoyed Turpan grapes particularly. The tour was totally worth the price and your service even went beyond my expectation. Million thanks!
