Not all staff speak english but most of them understand enough to help with general enquires. The assistant manager Benny is extremely helpful and speaks excellent english and is happy to help with everything from travel/tour enquiries to visa enquires.

Waited 15 minutes for a Taxi and arrived in Donlord Hotel 15 minutes after (RMB +-50).

The towels are clean and white unlike most hotels I’ve encountered in China where the towels are old and a bit off-colour.

Breakfast was good too although not many waiters understand English but there was always a senior member to help out. Reception and concierge staff spoke reasonably good English. Used the business center twice it was closed both the times, but they opened it for the use.

The air-conditioning worked well. We were able to sleep very well as the bed is very comfortable and bed sheets were clean and white. The television looked ancient though.
