- I booked in to the Dong Fang Hotel because this is the hotel I stayed during my first visit to Guangzhou in 1983. Subsequently, I used this hotel during the next few years then switched to the Garden Hotel. In those days the service was not very good as everything was only for the sake of fulfilling the guideline given by the authority, nothing more.

- Convenient position to getting around, with nice facilities nearby. Hotel environment is nice, rooms are of traditional Chinese characteristics. Simple but decent design & décor. Good choice for a business trip.

- More varieties of breakfast buffet would be better. The hotel was well-designed, but check-in a little inefficient. Hope more progress.

- The hotel was very nice and the service was excellent.The reservations were perfect without any problems. Ms May Wu did an excellent job ensuring we had exactly the right room and went out of her way to pick both my father and I up from the airport. My father and I both enjoyed our first visit to China very much. We hope to return many times both on business and pleasure. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful.

- This 5-star hotel boasts palatial grandeur that defies description. The rooms are clean and spacious; the breakfast buffet offers Western, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The size of the grounds is massive. Shopping and access to all classes of restaurants is extensive. Taxi transportation to all sightseeing is cheap. But No free computer use.
