Tour Description

This one day tour gives you a close look on Pandas in Chengdu's Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The giant pandas are adorable, and to watch them romp in their large open air enclosures is a delightful experience.

Day 1 Chengdu: Pickup and drop off (Lunch)

Today's Activities

Your English tour guide will pick you up at your downtown hotels, then drive to Giant Panda Breeding Center. You will have happy time with cute giant pandas in this world-famous Panda Breeding Base, getting comprehensive knowledges about the giant panda and unique breeding experience, even you can hug the panda and take a photo with them! (Of course, hugging panda and taking photo need extra money.)

Afterwards you will have a featured chinese lunch in an arranged restaurant, tasting delicious local Sichuan dishes and chengdu specialties;

Next explore local life at Kuai Zhai Lane. which is a local-featured street with ancient alleys. It fully represents the lifestyle of Chengdu - leisure, slow but modern. You can relax in the traditional atmosphere, enjoy your time in teahouses, curio shops and snack stands and experience local folk culture.

Drive back to downtown Chengdu hotel.

Dear Nancy, it has been a most amazing experience. Not just meeting and working with the pandas, but learning about the culture and society of China. The volunteers are friendly and fun to hang out with, so evenings are pretty great. I think it's fair to say that I've had a few culture shocks, so much here is different from my home in Sweden, but I've had a great time discovering these differences.
