Day 1 Arrival in Xi'an: Shaanxi History Museum - Bell Tower (Lunch)
Today's Activities Upon your arrival in Xi'an, our local tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for checking in and a brief rest. After lunch, hop on the car and start exploring Xi'an.

Your first stop is the Shaanxi History Museum, which is acquainted with its rich cultural history. In front of you are over 300,000 artifacts from prehistorical times to modern times. They are all well preserved and clearly labeled in both Chinese and English. (Visit: about 1.5hours)

Then turn to the Bell Tower, which is the center of the old town. Dating back to 1384 A.D., the Bell Tower is a representative Ming Dynasty architecture with gorgeous building style. Ascending the tower, you may see a big bell from which the tower got its name, and you can also hold the city overview into your eyes in all directions. You may also watch an Imitated Chime Bells Performance if you are lucky enought. (Visit: about 1 hour)

Day 2 Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors - Small Wild Goose Pagoda - Learning Make Dumplings - Tang Dynasty Show (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities Enjoy your breakfast, and then start to visit the top must-see of Xi'an - The Terracotta Warriors, World's 8th Wonder. This ancient miracle shows you the underground troops bearing the mission of guarding the Emperor Qin Shihuang and conveys the belief of afterlife. Imagine how amazing it will be when facing thousands of terracotta soldiers here! (Visit: 2-2.5 hours)

After lunch, move to the peaceful Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the two cultural pagodas in Xi'an and is full of quaintness. The park surrounding the pagoda is lovely and is a wonderful place to stroll, relax and explore. (Visit: about 1 hour)

Then let's learn to make Chinese dumplings (Jiaozi) with your own hands! It's a tradition of the Chinese family to make dumplings together. Dumpling symbolizes wealth due to its shape which is similar to ancient Chinese gold or silver ingots, and thus making and eating dumplings is a wish for getting richer. This evening is surely brilliant - a dumpling feast is waiting for you together with a grand and gorgeous Tang Dynasty Performance with traditional Chinese music. Enjoy it!

Day 3 Xi'an: Cycling on Ancient City Wall - Great Mosque & Muslim Quarter - Shadow Play(Gao's Courtyard) - Departure (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities After breakfast, get relaxed on the Ancient City Wall, which is the best preserved of its kind in China. This ancient rampart is about 12 meters high and 15 meters wide in the upper part. You may free yourself while strolling or cycling on the Ancient City Wall, and listen to the history of Xi'an and China witnessed by this great rampart.

Then move to the Muslim Quarter, where the local Muslim people gather and live. You may experience the local Muslim life as well as feast yourself with abundant interesting stuff and local foods. The Great Mosque, the sacred core of this community, is a wonderful combination of Chinese and Arabic-styled architectures. It's still a place of worship for the local Muslims.

Also enjoy a lovely Shadow Puppet Show at the Gao's Courtyard, another wonderland at the Muslim Quarter. The courtyard itself is also worth visiting for its traditional local building style and the old living items kept in the house.

Later of the day you will be transferred to the airport/train station for your next destination. Farewell.

Xi’an

Xi'an features distinctive cuisines of China Northwest, such as various-shaped Chinese dumplings and other wheaten food. Muslim Quarter gathers lots of delicious local food like Rou Jia Mo and shish kebabs, etc.
(1) Here we highly recommend Chinese Dumpling Dinner, which also named Jiaozi, typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. As a must-try for visitors, it serves with Tang dynasty show. And it belongs to an [add on] item in the tour.
(2) Rou Jia Mo, also called Chinese Hamburger, is very similar to the Western hamburger essentially, but with different cooking method.

Hi Nancy,

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable tour. We visited all the places we had planned for plus insights to local cultures.

Xi'an tour was our first private tour. With this experience, we would be able to design better private tour in the future. Both the driver and tour guide are good. Hotel accommodation and services are excellent. Food or restaurant choices can be improved.

We also appreciate your professional support and services in providing the necessary information and communication for local arrangements. HRC and you will surely cross our minds when we plan for our next tour in China.

Dear Sara,

Our trip to Xi'an was very good. Hebe was a first class, very knowledgeable tour guide & the driver was also excellent and we would thank them for their work during our visit.

The Hotel was also very good and we enjoyed the stay at the Shangri-La. Accommodations & food was of high quality, but higher cost and more expensive than we anticipated. Xi'an in general we found is a high cost place to visit. Xi'an is a much more commercialized city that we anticipated, but the visit to the Terracotta Warriors location was a fantastic experience for us and the manor of the facilities at the location was very well done indeed. China should be very proud on this 8th Wonder of the World.

Overall we would recommend the trip to Xi'an and China Tours to any of our friends and family.

Only downside to the Xi'an trip was the traffic in the city which is very congested and a bit crazy. Kind regards,
