5 Days Chengdu Charming Tour

Today our guide will welcome you at the Chengdu Airport, and transfer you to local hotel. Then leisure time is free for you. After short rest, you could walk around your hotel to find a local night market where you can taste delicious local snack, pick up the delicate souvenir, and enjoy the music performance from local folk artist, etc.

In the evening we specially perpare a Sichuan Opera Show for your option. You can appreciate an authentic Face Changing performance on spot, how excited it is! (The admission for the show is excluded.) The Sichuan Opera is an important part of Chengdu culture. Besides the normal singing, and martial arts, Sichuan Opera has many unique features that set it apart, features such as fire breathing, changing faces, and juggling pottery. When enjoying the performance, you will amaze at different facial make-ups that are changed fast and mysteriously.

In the morning, visit the famous attractions in Chengdu - Panda Breeding and Research Center, which is home to giant pandas, red (or lesser) pandas, and other endangered species. You will visit the nursery to see the highly successful breeding program, among the bamboo groves and shady walkways, and to view the pandas at rest or play. There is a panda museum where you can learn some information about giant pandas. Here we specially prepare a programme of taking photos with a panda for your option. You can hold a lovely panda to take photoes. How excited it is! (The admission for the programme is excluded.)

After lunch, you will turn to Wuhou Memorial Temple, which is built as a tribute to Zhuge Liang, the Martial Marquis of Shu during the Three Kingdoms Period. You may strool around the peaceful and attractive gardens, and visit several halls, including one dedicated to his memory and another to that of his emperor Liu Bei. Then you will learn more about China ancient culture.

Then you will feel relax to explore Jinli Old Street for local tea house, art crafts and snacks. In the traditional atmosphere, you will enjoy the delicious Sichuan food and snacks and learn the local remarkable folk culture.

After breakfast, take the early morning flight from Chengdu and arrive at Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport. Our tour guide will welcome you at Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, and then 1-hour drive takes you to the Huanglong Scenic Area. Huanlong literally means "Yellow Dragon" in Chinese. It is listed as World Cultural Heritage in 1992 together with Jiuzhaigou. Huanglong is actually a narrow valley, which has a dense distribution of thousands of travertine colour-ponds, travertine flow streams. You will visit the famous Huanglonggou (Yellow Dragon Gully), get lost in the five-colored pool, and see the cluster of amazing ponds and waterfalls.

After 4-5 hour tour in Huanglong Scenic Area, have another 3-hour drive and get to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Check in at our designated hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Leisure time for you at the rest of the day.

After breakfast, full day sightseeing in the fairyland, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The whole scenic resort actually is a narrow valley. Because of its inconvenience of the traffic, it is a peaceful place without any noise from the outside world, and it is the home of nine Tibetan villages. It is said that there is no other place as peaceful as in Jiuzhaigou all over the world. Using both boardwalks and the shuttle buses, you will visit the major attrations in the three valleys - Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley and Zechawa Valley. Spend 4-5 hours in these valleys. You will visit the Long Lake which is 3150 at sea level, appreciate the spectacular scene in five-colored lake, and soaked in the Nuorilang Water Fall.

After breakfast, you are transferred to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport and then take the morning flight for Chengdu to connect your travel for next destination. Wish you a delightful journey!
