Day 1   Arrive in Beijing
Airport pickup service with private English speaking guide and private car.

Day 2   Beijing (B,L,D)
The Tian'anmen Square, The Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Peking Opera
The Tian'anmen Square: As a symbol of the nation, this world's largest city square is home to various historical sites and known for the daily ritualistic flag raising ceremony.

The Forbidden City:

One of the world's most beautiful architectural complexes, served as China's imperial palace for almost five centuries; you will be overwhelmed by its massive scale and majestic design.
Summer Palace: Used to be the imperial summer resort; ranked among the most noted and classical gardens of the world, it never fails to leave you a lasting impression.
Peking Opera: The national opera of China, featurs the dazzling costumes, mysterious facial makeup and exciting martial arts, presenting the audience with an encyclopedia of Chinese culture.

Day 3   Beijing  (B,L,D)
Great Wall at Badaling, Sacred Way, Ming Tombs (Changling), Olympic Stadium (Bird Nest), National Aquatics Center, Peking Roast Duck.
Great Wall at Badaling: The best-preserved and most imposing section of the Great wall; approximately 3,741m long and of great strategic importance in ancient times.
Sacred Way: The most famous site at the Ming imperial tombs, being the main road leading into the tomb complexes, featuring the huge Memorial Stone Archway, the Stele Pavilion, the Stone Creatures and the Dragon and Phoenix Gate.
Ming Tombs (Changling): The mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Di, the chief and the most magnificent one of the 13 Ming tombs, which will give you a glimpse into the power and grandeur of China's Ming Dynasty's Emperors.
Olympic Stadium (Bird Nest): The nest-shaped elliptic steel structure is hailed as "an icon of the Beijing 2008 Olympics" and has become a recognized landmark worldwide.

National Aquatics Center

(Water Cube):

The outlook being a semi-transparent "cube", with "bubbles" spread out all over its surface; believed as the fastest Olympic pool in the world, swimmers set 25 new world records here during the 2008 Olympics.

Peking Roast Duck:

Most famous and delicious dish in Beijing with a very long history, prized for its tempting color, crispy skin, tender meat and gorgeous apperance. Most visitors will want to have a try.


Day 4   Beijing to Lhasa (B)   Transfer by flight
Transfer to airport. Upon arrival in Lhasa, be met and transferred to hotel. Free at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high latitude.

Day 5   Lhasa (B,L)
The Potala Palace, The Barkhor Street, The Jokhang Temple
The Potala Palace:

Blend with Tibetan and Han architecture, it used to be Tibetan imperial palace. Built at an altitude of 3,700 m, it is the highest palace in the world.

The Barkhor Street:

Barkhor Street is a place full of religious atmosphere and a world of exotic articles. Believe your eyes, and you will get a lot of surprise there.

The Jokhang Temple:

Jokhang Temple is the spiritual center of Tibet and the holiest destination for all Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims.


Day 6   Lhasa (B,L)
Lhasa Carpet Factory, Norbulingka, The Sera Monastery.
Lhasa Carpet Factory:

With its unique style, innovative design, exquisite craftsmanship, the carpets have been sold from domestic to overseas.

Norbulingka:

Norbulingka both reflects the ethnical, religious features of the Tibetan people and embodies the architecture style of inland China.

The Sera Monastery:

As one of most important Monastery in Tibet, it often holds debate about Buddhism, which attracts many monks, celebrities all over the world.


Day 7   Lhasa (B,L)

Namtso Lake, Yambajan.

Namtso Lake:

As the highest lake in the world with beautiful legend, it has already become a holy lake and attracted thousands of pilgrims to worship there in Tibetans.

Yambajan:

Boiled water on the extreme cold Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which contains high content of sulfured hydrogen, is therapeutic to many chronic diseases.


Day 8   Lhasa to Shangrila (B)   Transfer by flight

Free time, transfer to airport. Be met and transferred to hotel. Gedan Songzanlin Monastery

Gedan Songzanlin Monastery:

Largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, it contains many treasures accumulated from each dynasty.


Day 9   Shangrila (B,L)

Pudatso National Park (Bitahai and Shudu Lakes).

Pudatso National Park:

Natural wonderland, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It contains rare plant species, rare mammal and bird species.


Day 10   Shangrila to Lijiang (B,L)   Transfer by bus

First Bend of the Yangtze River, Tiger Leaping Gorge.

First Bend of the Yangtze River:

Unusual geological phenomenon force the Yangtze to make a sudden V-shaped bend, which creates beautiful and marvelous views that startle the imagination.

Tiger Leaping Gorge:

As deepest gorge in the world, this is a view that inspires a sense of adventure and satisfies the deepest yearnings for magnificent scenery.


Day 11   Lijiang (B,L)

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture, The Mural in Baisha Village.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain:

18,000 feet above sea level, looks like a gigantic dragon clad in white snow all year round. It is a sanctuary for rare animals and wild plants.

Yak Meadow:

As a part of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it is the paradise for the yak.

Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture:

The museum has more than 10000 Dongba cultural relics and various other historical relics and offers the "Dongba Culture Exhibition".

Mural in Baisha Village:

Mural paintings in the village reflect the different religious cultures and artistic forms of Buddhism, Lamaism, Daoism and the Naxi Dongba religion.


Day 12   Lijiang to Guilin via Kunming (B,L)   Transfer by flight

Lijiang Ancient Town, transfer to airport. Upon arrival in Guilin, be met and transferred to hotel.

Lijiang Ancient Town:

Its architecture is noteworthy for the blending of elements from several cultures that have come together over many centuries. Lijiang also possesses an ancient water-supply system of great complexity and ingenuity that still functions effectively today.


Day 13   Guilin (B,L)

Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park.

Reed Flute Cave:

A marvelous vision of our great Mother Nature creats and the most visited cave in the world. A large variety of natural rock formations are sure to challenge your imagination.

Elephant Trunk Hill:

Shaped like a huge elephant dipping its trunk into the Li River to quench its thirst, the hill  is a masterpiece of karst landscape and regarded as the symbol of Guilin.

Seven Star Park:

The largest comprehensive park in Guilin, endowed with mass scenery as Putuo Mountain, Seven Stars Cave, Crescent Mountain, Flowers Bridge, Guihai Stele Forest and much more.


Day 14   Guilin to Yangshuo (B,L)  Transfer by cruise

After breakfast, transfer to the dock for your cruise to Yangshuo.

Li River Cruise:

:

The centerpiece of any trip to Guangxi; this section of the Li River, appearing like an artist's masterpiece with the eye-feasting landscape and country scenery will never disappoint you.


Day 15   Yangshuo to Guilin to Shanghai (B,L)   Transfer by flight

Morning cycling to the countryside, Moon Hill, later of today, transfer to airport. Upon arrival in Shanghai, be met and transferred to hotel.

Yangshuo Countryside Cycling: An excellent way to explore the charming scenery in Yangshuo. You will be inspired by breathtaking views of green peaks and picturesque pastoral scene of rice paddies and water buffaloes.
Moon Hill:

Named for a limestone pinnacle with a semicircular hole penetrating the hill; viewed from various angles the hole takes on different shapes of moon, forming a marvelous spectacle in Yangshuo.


Day 16   Shanghai (B,L,D)

Yu Garden, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road, the Bund, Shanghai Acrobats Show.

Yu Garden:

The most celebrated classical Chinese garden in Shanghai, with a long history of more than four hundred years; famed as "an architectural miracle in the south of Yangtze River".

Oriental Pearl TV Tower:

Landmark of Shanghai and the tallest completed tower in Asia; Applys Chinese elements in design, and features a breathtaking bird's eye view on the tower.

Nanjing Road:

The earliest and most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai dating back to the 1840s; offering all-in-one shopping centers, gorgeous restaurants and spectacular night views over this area.

The Bund:

Regarded as the symbol of Shanghai and an epitome of Shanghai's history; famous for various styles of magnificent buildings and a marvelous view for the landmarks of the city.

Shanghai Acrobatic Show:

A magic touch for your nightlife! A typical art of China with long history. Exciting and breath-taking and you will be marveled at the varieties of programs.


Day 17   Depart Shanghai (B,L)

Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum, transfer to airport for your flight to next destination.

Jade Buddha Temple:

An ancient temple with long history; imparting a peaceful and transcendent atmosphere; also renowned for two gorgeous white jade Buddhist statues.

Shanghai Museum:

A museum of ancient Chinese art; holding many items that are superlative works of art and are unique in the entire country; cherished exhibits include bronzes, ceramics and paintings.
