Day 1 Guilin/Yangshuo - Longsheng - Guilin/Yangshuo ( Lunch )

Today's Activities

We launch the tour from downtown Guilin or Yangshuo at about 9:00 A.M. With 2 hours driving and landscape sightseeing we would arrive at the over-400-year-old Zhuang Minority Villages. Walk 20 minutes and we meet Ancient Zhuang Minority Villages. During the next 1 hour we’ll explore the ancient villages. Around us are the sea of well-preserved stilted buildings whose scale is on top in China and we’ll notice the prevalent application of stone carving in the villages. Their representative is the Conjoined Tri-Fishes Stonecutting at the Wind-Rain Bridge. Meanwhile you also discover many about the unique custom of the Zhuang villagers through the family visit.

End the Zhuang Minority Villages visiting and we’ll hike 1 hour towards Ping’an Inn for lunch. Out there is a constant stretch of splendid rice terraces. So we keep the good scenery all alongside. Moreover, part of the hiking path even stretches right into the rice terraces, which will surely make a wonderful hiking experience. After the lunch, we’ll continue hiking for about 20 minutes till we reach No. 2 attraction of Ping’an Rice Terraces, The Moon in Company of Seven Stars. We’ll spend about half an hour feasting the unbelievable joint work by nature and human intelligence. Afterwards let’s walk downhill to the parking lot and drive back to downtown Guilin or Yangshuo.

Hello Allan,

The Li River Cruise was so exciting. The Li An Lodge was excellent, and its rooms were so individual and elegant-looking. From the room my family and I enjoyed a spectacular view of the minority celebrating their harvest with torches all over the mountain. Plus, I love the Ancient Zhuang Village so much. It was a fairyland every inch. We would sure come next spring to see the glossy ponding rice terraces.

Hi Sara,

I have appreciated a great deal you professionnalism since November 2011 while preparing the extension part of our trip in China. I was very pleased about the fact that you did all you could to contact us for the Shanghai/Guilin flight time change. Also I was happy talking to you in Yangshuo when we asked for a "western style" meal !!!

Concerning the whole package you organized for us I can say that we were very satisfied about eveything. In Guilin and Yangshuo, Jennifer was very nice with us. She did all she could to please us. In spite of the bad temperature the day of our arrival and the next one, we found Guilin, the Li river, Yangshuo and its countryside wonderful, and the show absolutely extraordinary.
