5 Days Colorful Guizhou

Our guide will meet you at Guiyang airport, and transfer you to the downtown hotel. Relax during the remainder of the day. In the evening you can go to the local market to experience the local life, and taste delicious Guizhou cuisine. We will spend the night in Guiyang.

After breakfast, our private transfer will take you to Anshun. En route, you will stop off to visit the Yunfeng Tunpu, one of the Tunpu Villages which were built during 14 century for military use. A mysterious tribe known as "Tunpu People" or "Old Han Chinese" has survived here for hundreds of years. In the time of 1.5 hours, You will visit Tunpu Cultural Museum in the eight Yunfeng Villages and appreciate the Ground Opera. In the afternoon, we will spend about 2-3 hours in appreciating the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is the biggest one in Asia with 223 feet in height and 276 feet in width. Then transfer to Guiyang hotel.

In the morning we will drive you to Kaili, the state capital of Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture. After check-in, you will visit Wangba Gejia Village. Gejia people is a branch of Miao nationality, but they have their own language, costume, habits, belief, and etiquette. In the afternoon, we will proceed to visit Zhouxi Qingman Miao Village where you can see the whole process of making clothes. Then we will continue to visit Shiqiao Miao Village where you will have a unique chance to learn about the ancient paper-making technique. Then transfer back to Kaili hotel.

Today our first stop is the Langde Village, where women villagers wear long skirt all year round. Located about 31 miles to the south of Kaili City, Langde Miao Village is surrounded by mountains and rivers and boasts wooden stilt houses, winding mountain paths and well-preserved Wind and Rain Bridge. Afterwards, we will visit Paika Miao Village to appreciate how the Lusheng is made. Lusheng is the Miao people's most important musical instrument. Today's last stop is the famous Datang Short-Skirt Miao Village, where women have worn a kind of traditional short skirt for 500 years. Another highlight in this village is the granary built over a pond with the multi-function of fire-proofing, rat-proofing and ant-proofing. Then transfer back to Kaili.
