Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai
Today's Activities The glamorous city - Shanghai is your first stop in your China exploration. Upon arrival, the local tour guide we arrange for you will pick you up at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Then the rest of the day belongs to you. You can take a break to erase the on-flight exhaustion, or drink a glass of beer in the bar located in Xintiandi - famous “hang-out” place in Shanghai, or wander along the Nanjing Road - the most welcomed commercial pedestrian street, to enjoy the flourishing nightlife of this metropolitan city.

Day 2 Shanghai ( Breakfast, Lunch )
Today's Activities The energetic tour begins with Yuyuan Garden where you get fascinated by the gorgeous Chinese classical gardening art, then move to the neighboring Yuyuan Market which embraces traditional Chinese arts and crafts. Next stop is The Bund showing the essence of Shanghai developing in war fire: dignified, elegant and prosperous. Later, the Oriental Pearl Tower, the 5th tallest tower in the world, will impress you with a spectacular realest bird's eye view of the cityscape. At night, Shanghai Acrobats Show is recommended to appreciate.

Day 3 Shanghai - Xi’an (Breakfast, Lunch) Transfer by train

Today's Activities

Take a tour to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall which records the last 20-year urban planning of the city and over 100-year history development and cultural achievements. Then visit the Silk Museum to watch the silk making process, and you may take some elaborate silk crafts as souvenir or present. If time allows, strolling around the City God Temple where you have an opportunity to enjoy the various local snacks and specialties. After that, you will be transferred to the station to take the night train to Xi’an.

Day 4 Xi’an (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities Our local tour guide will pick you up and take you to check in the hotel. After breakfast, you will be accompanied to the Bell & Drum Tower Square which houses Xi'an Bell Tower and Drum Tower, both of which are the largest and best-preserved of their kinds with classic beauty and elegant taste. The next must-see is Shaanxi History Museum with a collection of over 370,000 items that tell you numerous fascinating historic stories once happened in Xi’an City. Then you will take a walk up to the Xi’an City Wall to appreciate the 600-year-old massive defensive wall and enjoy the grand landscape. Tang Dynasty Show, including Dumpling Banquet, is suggested to cater to your night entertainment.

Day 5 Xi’an - Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch) Transfer by train
Today's Activities As the eighth wonder of the ancient world, Terracotta Warriors, the underworld oriental mummies, will bring you back to the Qin Dynasty over 2,200 years ago. In the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, you will be impressed by the glorious and solemn masterpieces. Also Great Mosque of Xi'an is on your visit-list. It combines Islamic culture with Chinese traditional architecture seamlessly. Then Muslim Quarter will show you the life of local Muslim community and dispel your tiredness with a great quantity of exotic shops and savory restaurants. At the end of the day, you will leave for Beijing by rail and sleep in the train.

Day 6 Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities Upon your arrival, our local guide will take you to enjoy the breakfast, then head to Tiananmen Square, the heart and soul of China and ranked as the biggest square in the world. Another highlight of the day owes to the Forbidden City (also named Palace Museum) serving as the home to the imperial family, adorned with massive scale, majestic design and numerous historical antiques. After that, you will be led to the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. Taking a boat on the Kunming Lake to enjoy the picturesque scene or strolling through the Long Corridor decorated with some 10,000 painted scenes is a really interesting attempt. The world-famous dish Beijing Roast Duck is suggested to add to your dinner-list at night.

Day 7 Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities This day will begin with the Mutianyu Great Wall. It's convenient to take the cable car up to the top where the whole area is like a garden with a great variety of plants and all-year fresh air. Then turn your attention to the next stop - Changling Tomb, located in Ming Tombs (Ming Dynasty Imperial Tombs or 13 Ming Tombs), which was the first and largest mausoleum built for Emperor Zhu Di. On your way back to the hotel, you can have an exterior view of the modern-styled Olympic Stadiums Bird's Nest and Water Cube, or take some photos in memory of them. Moreover, Beijing Opera or Kung Fu Show is recommended to enrich your nightlife with brilliant Chinese traditional cultures and wonderful sensual pleasures.

Day 8 Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today's Activities After breakfast, head to the Temple of Heaven, the largest architectural structure for worshipping heaven and praying for good harvests in the world. The Beijing Hutong tour is another intriguing experience for you. Hiring a rickshaw to across the narrow alleyways to witness the city’s history and folk customs will deepen your recognition of Beijing. Then you can wander the Xiushui Street, a crowded maze of stalls with a large selection of shoes and clothing. Various commodities including silk products can satisfy your shopping desire.

Day 9 Depart Beijing (Breakfast)
Today's Activities The last day is free for your arrangement. You can be in charge of your activities as you want, going shopping for some souvenirs or just staying in the hotel to prepare your package. Later our tour guide will take you to the airport for your flight to next destination.

Beijing

As the capital of China, Beijing boasts many good restaurants with featured cuisines. Our package takes you to have A La Carte dinner at Great Northeast Restaurant, Gold Palace Restaurant and Tang Yuan Restaurant, leading you to grasp the essence of Chinese classic cuisines.

Xi’an

Xi'an features distinctive cuisines of China Northwest, such as various-shapes chinese dumplings and other wheaten food. At Muslim Quarter, where gathers lots of delicious local food, like Rou Jia Mo and shish kebabs, etc.
(1) As a must-try for visitors, Chinese Dumpling dinner served by Defachang Reataurant is highly recommended. Dumpling is also named Jiaozi, typically consisting of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. And it belongs to an [add on] item in the tour.
(2) One of the best places to sample the dumpling is Defachang Restaurant. Here you can experience Xian's famous "Dumpling Banquet" where you get to feast on many different types of dumplings that come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and flavors. For example there are tiny pearl dumplings, dumplings made from black rice and fruit-filled dumplings.
(3) Also, Muslim Quarter is a fascinating area where you can taste many authentic Islamic snacks, like beef or mutton Rou Jia Mo (Chinese Hamburger), northwestern style noodles, Yangrou Paomo and many other attractive snacks that will not make you disappointed. The restaurants and eateries here are serving their food in budget prices.
(4) Friendship Restaurant at Terracotta Museum, is famous for the noodle-stretching performance. You can also enjoy the delicious local cuisine here, such as Mutton Paomo, which is also called mutton soup with pancake pieces.

Shanghai

We say little about the dining in Shanghai, since Shanghai is regarded as a delicious kingdom, where you can taste everything almost. Here we strongly suggest you take M on The Bund into consideration.
