15 Days Essential China and Yangtze River Cruise Tour

Wish you a good journey to Hongkong, and our guide will meet you outside the customs of Hongkong Airport after you clear the customs, and then transfer you to check in the hotel. The rest of the day is flexible for your will, have a rest or take a walk near the hotel. In the evening we prepare an optional show for you -  "A Symphony of Lights" at Victoria Harbour, which was recorded as "The World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" by Guinness World Records in 2005. Today you will stay at hotel in Hongkong.

After breakfast at hotel, you will visit Victoria Peak, which is the highest point of Hong Kong, and the best place to see the stunning views of the renowned Victoria Harbor. You will take the Peak Tram to get to the mountain top. The tram has been in operation for over 100 years. While standing on the platform of the tower, you wonder at magnificent view of the Central, the Victoria Harbour and Kowloon at the opposite side. With the wind blowing by, you gaze the brightly lit skyscrapers and are awed by it.

Then you will go to Repulse Bay to enjoy the bright sunshine and golden sandbeach. This charming beach stretches a long distance with clear azure blue water gently lapping the seashore. You can take the aquatic activities

Or just lay on the soft sandbeach to appreciate the wonderful scenery.

Afterwards explore the old Hong Kong lifestyle at Aberdeen which remains a fishing port for more than 100 years.  To know more about the life of the boat-dwellers, you can take a sampan ride to cruise around the Aberdeen. Also you will enjoy a free-of-charge travel by ferry boat to the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant to have a taste of delicious Dim Sum cuisine.

In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the Guilin airport and escort you to the hotel. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Hongkong.

Today's Activities

Today you will totally immersed yourself in the picturesque sceneries of Longji Terraces. After breakfast, depart your hotel. With 2 hours driving and landscape sightseeing you will reach Longji Intersection. First you will visit the Guzhuang Village for about 1 hour. Then hike uphill towards the Ping'an Inn for lunch. All alongside the hiking route you will appreciate the splendid rice terraces, which will surely make a wonderful hiking experience.

After lunch, you will continue hiking for about 20 minutes to reach the Ping'an Terraces. Visit the No. 2 attraction of Ping’an Rice Terraces, The Moon in Company of Seven Stars. We’ll spend about half an hour appreciating the unbelievable joint work by nature and human intelligence. After visit, walk downhill to the parking lot and drive back to Guilin downtown area. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Guilin.

Today's Activities

After breakfast, drive to Zhujiang Dock in about 40 minutes. From the dock let's start the fascinating Li River Cruise. During the next 4 hours, you will wonder at the splendid scenery of Guilin landscape. Meanwhile, you'll enjoy a delicious local lunch buffet.

At 13:30 you will arrive at the Yangshuo Dock. Your tour guide will rent a bicycle for you to explore the beautiful rural scenery in Yangshuo.  The beautiful rural scenery will feast your eyes with a pure country life style, which is a nice experience.

After dinner, you can stroll around the famous West Street, a prosperous pedestrian street lit up with featured handicrafts, delicious snacks and romantic Western bars. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Yangshuo.

Set sail along the mighty Yangtze River today! You will embrace the breeze and enjoy the marvelous views of Yangtze River along way. Spend some time for a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City to feed your curiosity about this special ghost culture.

A variety of free activities will be held on the cruise for your entertainment, including welcoming banquet and dancing shows.

Today you will continue your voyage on Yangtze River through hidden reefs and tumbling rapids. Get past the famous Three Gorges - Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge, and you will find yourself among step precipices and luxuriant flora. You will also tour past Shennong Stream or the Lesser Three Gorges depending on different cruise itineraries. 

(Note: Different cruise will have different activities, e.g. Tai Chi Learning, Face Changing Show of Sichuan Opera, Crew Performance, etc.)

Awed at sight of the majestic Three Gorges Dam take a visit to the site; it's the largest hydroelectric power project in the world! You will get some knowledge of the blueprint and achievement of this great project during the tour.

Later finish your voyage and call at Yichang Port, after which you will be escorted to Yichang Airport for your departure for the next destination - Xi'an. Upon arrival your tour guide will welcome you at the Airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Xi'an.

After Breakfast, visit the Shaanxi History Museum which is a huge modern museum with Tang Dynasty architectural style, housing a marvelous collection of over 300,000 items. After meandering among this treasure strove, you will known more about the Chinese History.

Then move to the Great Mosque. It has standed quietly in the bustling Muslim Quarter for thousands of hundreds of years. You will enjoy the amazing featured architecture which is a great mixture of Chinese and Arabic styles. In about 1 hour, you also can see how the Chinese Muslims worship.

After lunch, visit the Muslim Quarter which is the main gathering place of the local Muslim community. You will taste local featured food in savory restaurants and buy sme suvenir in the exotic shops. Relax yourself here for about 1 hour.

Afterwards walk to Gao's Courtyard where you can see the exhibitions of period furniture, paintings, pottery, porcelain, photos and demonstrations of folk art. Also, you will be exciting to enjoy the interesting Shadow Puppet Play, a shadow puppet play with traditional music. No doubt, you will applaud with amazing cheers for this exquisite folk drama. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Xian.

After breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself for one of the top attractions in this tour - the fantastic Terracotta Warriors Museum. With just 1- hour drive, the grand ancient army troupes apear in front of you. Thousands of Terracotta Soldiers stand solemnly in the grand excavation site for your inspection. You will spend 2 hours in exploring the mystery of these ancient army troupes and also the legend of the First Qin Emperor (Qin Shihuang) in the Mausoleum. After the visit, you will have lunch at the Friendship Restaurant inside the Scenic Area. Then drive back to Xi'an downtown and begin your afternoon trip for the Ancient City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

After  visual feast of Terracotta Warriors, you will have a leisure time in Ancient City Wall (Circumvallation). With 12 meters high and 15 meters width, the ancient wall is the best preserved of this kind in China. You can climb up on top of it, enjoying the wonderful city view. Also you can hire a bike to ride along the City Wall which is an optional but wonderful choice (the price not included in this package).

Then head for the square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a Buddhist pagoda with 7 stories standing 64.5m (211.61ft) high. You can stroll leisurely on the square, enjoying the quiet and mysterious atmosphere.  Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Xian.

After breakfast at hotel, transfter to Xian Airport for the flight to Beijing. Upon arrival your tour guide will welcome you at the airport and escort you to down hotel for checking in. Later you are free to arrange your own activities. We recommend you to stroll around Wangfujing Street - a very famous commercial street for shopping and tasting Beijing local snacks. Tonight you will have a sound sleep at the hotel in Beijing.

After breakfast at hotel, you will visit the Tiananmen Square to start your Beijing tour. It is the heart and soul of Beijing and ranks as the biggest square in the world. You will stroll leisurely around the large square, experiencing its ancient history and modern vigour. Then walk north to the Forbidden City. As the largest and best-preserved imperial palace in China, it vividly indulges us with a whole impression of the royal life. And also you can appreciate lots of national treasures in Treasure House of the Forbidden City. 

After lunch, drive to Chinese featured royal park - Summer Palace, which boasts of typical Chinese architecture and splendid landscapes. After appreciating the ancient building you can also take a leisurely stroll on the willow-shaded paths and arched bridges that encircle the Kunming lake. You will marvel at the beautiful scenery along your way.  Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Beijing.

Today you will experience the old and modern Beijing. Later after having breakfast, drive to visit the wonderful Mutianyu Great Wall, which has a storied history of over 1400 years, and is considered the most beautiful section of the Great Wall. You will take a cable car to view this vital section of the China Great Wall.

Then move on to the most famous tomb of Ming Tombs - Changling, it is the largest in scale and is completely preserved, inhumed the fourth emperor of Ming Dynasty. Also you will visit the Sacred Road of the tombs, which was originally built to lead to the Changling mausoleum. 

After the visit, drive back to downtown Beijing. En route, you will stop by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics). You can view the unique constructions and take some photos.  Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Beijing.

On this day we mainly visit downtown attractions of Beijing. After breakfast at hotel, drive to visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperor of the Ming and Qing dynasties would worship heaven and pray for good harvests. Nowadays, it serves as a park. You can see local people doing morning exercises and practicing Taichi. 

Later explore Beijing Hutong where you will learn more about the life and culture of ordinary Beijing people. You can go across the alleys by rickshaw (not included in the package) to appreciate the featured archetecture and enjoy the air of local life. Also, you will have a visit to a local family to have contact with local people, and learn to make dumplings. This is really a distinctive experience!

After lunch you are free to arrange your own activities. We highly recommend you to walk around Xiushui Street where you will find many delicate silk products. You can purchase several interesting souvenirs of chinese style for your friends. Tonight you will stay at the hotel in Beijing.
