Day 1 Arrive in Guilin - Reed Flute Cave - Elephant Trunk Hill (Lunch)

Today's Activities

After airport pickup and a brief rest at the hotel, you'll begin your tour around the fantastic Guilin in the afternoon. Like other visitors, you'll be quite grateful to the nice layout of Guilin attractions as even without driving far from downtown Guilin you can find many a scenic spots, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill included. Right before you is a banquet of natural masterpieces of karst caves and hills. Trust you to be hooked by the color-capricious Reed Flute Cave and pretty adorable Elephant Trunk Hill within minutes!

Day 2 Guilin - Ancient Zhuang Minority Villages - Ping'an Rice Terraces – Guilin (Breakfast, Lunch)

Today's Activities

Let’s set out from downtown Guilin at about 9:00 A.M. With 2 hours driving you would arrive at the over-400-year Ancient Zhuang Minority Villages. During the next 1 hour you’ll be shown around the sea of well-preserved stilted buildings whose scale is on top in China, immerse in the ocean of stone-shaped items such as stone path, stone bridge, stone mill, stone temple, etc. Note the carved lotus, sword, Tai-chi mark and the like in these stone tools and buildings and don’t miss the highlight Conjoined Tri-Fishes Stonecutting when you walk across the Wind-Rain Bridge. Meanwhile you also have a look at the featured headwear and garment of the Zhuang villagers, hearing their amazing ballad.

Since finishing the visit of Ancient Zhuang Minority Villages you’ll hike 1 hour towards Ping’an Inn that provides the lunch. Surprisingly you’ll discover fantastic rice terraces lies between Zhuang Minority Villages and Ping’an Inn. The good and unstirred scenery almost covers the whole hiking distance. What’s more, part of the hiking path even stretches right into the rice terraces, which is for sure a wonderful experience for all the hikers.

After the lunch, you’ll continue hiking for about 20 minutes till you reach No. 2 attraction of Ping’an Rice Terraces, The Moon in Company of Seven Stars. Just enjoy the magical joint work by nature and human intelligence. Afterwards let’s walk downhill to the parking lot and drive back to downtown Guilin.

Day 3 Li River Cruise - Yangshuo Traditional Cormorant Fishing (Breakfast, Lunch)

Today's Activities

The tour of Guilin comes to the essence when you board Zhujiang Wharf, launching the great 4-hour Li River cruise till West Street Yangshuo. Guilin landscape will unfold itself like a scroll of unbelievable Chinese ink painting along the stretch of Li River. What’s more, You'll have the tasty local lunch while feasting on the scenery.

In the afternoon you'll watch an interesting way of life, Traditional Cormorant Fishing. Only in serene Yangshuo where conventions are well preserved and people's minds are unstirred can you find such an amazing picture of silent aged fishmen and their cormorants seated on rafts. Time stops flowing there and you seem to return to the innocent life. Moreover you'll enjoy a tranquil night at hotel in Yangshuo.

Day 4 Fuli Town – Guilin - Departure (Breakfast, Lunch)

Today's Activities

You may not hear about Fuli Town but you must fall in love with the splendid sea of fans crafted in this little town at first sight. The landscape of Guilin is stitched into these fans vividly, making them the most worthwhile souvenir for you to remember your tour around Guilin. Later we'll send you to Guilin Airport, wishing you a happy journey home.

Hello Allan,

The Li River Cruise was so exciting. The Li An Lodge was excellent, and its rooms were so individual and elegant-looking. From the room my family and I enjoyed a spectacular view of the minority celebrating their harvest with torches all over the mountain. Plus, I love the Ancient Zhuang Village so much. It was a fairyland every inch. We would sure come next spring to see the glossy ponding rice terraces.
