Datong Weather

Datong has a semiarid sub-tropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. In spring, the average temperature is 7-9C, not very warm. Along with strong wind, it rarely rains but sometimes snows. In summer, Datong appears not very hot with a average temperature of 19-22C, thus summer is a comfortable and cool time for travelling here. The temperature drops suddenly when entering the autumn, Datong always has blue sky and let you feel a little bit cold in autume. The winter of Datong is a little longer than other seasons, lasting four months. The average temperature is seven to twelve degrees below zero, and it is often has northwest winds.
