Day 1   Arrive in Shanghai
Upon your arrival, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Free time at your own leisure.

Day 2   Shanghai (B,L)
Enjoy a walk in Yuyuan Garden, a classic Shanghai garden, then stroll along Nanjing Road, and the Bund - the symbols of bustling Shanghai, and visit the landmark of Shanghai - the Oriental Pearl Tower.
Yuyuan Garden:

Reputed as "an architectural miracle", this classical Chinese garden boasts a four hundred year history and is celebrated as the very best that Shanghai has to offer.

Nanjing Road:

This earliest and most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai dates back to the 1840s and offers all-in-one shopping centers, tasty restaurants, and spectacular night views.

The Bund:

Regarded as the symbol of Shanghai and offering a snapshot view of Shanghai's history, the area is famous for its variety of styles, magnificent buildings, and historical landmarks.

Oriental Pearl Tower:

A landmark of Shanghai and the tallest completed tower in Asia, it implements Chinese elements in its design and features a breathtaking bird's eye view of the city.


Day 3   Shanghai / Yichang (transfer by flight) / Yangtze River Cruise   (B)
Free time in the morning. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Yichang. Upon your arrival, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the dock and board the ship. It departs at 21:00.
Yangtze River Cruise:

The Yangtze River Cruise will bring you down the mighty Yangtze River, the heart and soul of China, and present you the spectacular landscape along the way.


Day 4   Yangtze River Cruise - Three Gorges Dam   (B,L,D)
Today's major activity is a shore excursion to the magnificent Three Gorges Dam, a world-famous engineering marvel.
Three Gorges Dam:

The largest hydroelectric complex in the world and a marvel of human engineering, the dam is a modern marvel and a must-see highlight of any Yangtze cruise.


Day 5   Yangtze River Cruise - Lesser Three Gorges   (B,L,D)
Disembark the ship and board smaller vessels to navigate the Lesser Three Gorges. It's best to explore this tributaries of the Yangtze by small vessels to see the spectacular scenery.
Lesser Three Gorges:

One of the most exciting and famous sights in a Yangtze cruise, this boasts three sections of valleys along the Daning River, well-known for its crystal clear rapids and vertical cliffs.


Day 6   Yangtze River Cruise - Fengdu Ghost City    (B,L,D)

On the northern bank of the Yangtze River, this ancient town epitomizes the Chinese profound ghost culture traditions with amazing temples depicting underworld demons and gods.


Day 7   Chongqing   (B,L)
IThe Yangtze River Cruise ends upon the ship's arrival in Chongqing in the morning. Enjoy a half-day city tour in Chongqing by visiting Eling Park, Stilwell Museum, Panda House in Chongqing Zoo, Ciqikou Old Town.
Eling Park:

Eling Park: Very popular with the locals who come here to enjoy the gardens, play Mahjongg, make music or just relax. Nice views over the river and Chongqing, there are also a number of interesting buildings and former Embassies in the grounds, plus an enormous long painting of the Yangtze.

Stilwell Museum:

Former residence of General Joseph Stilwell and the US Forces' headquarters in China during World War II.

Panda House in Chongqing Zoo:

The zoo has been the site of one of the few successful breeding programs for the Pandas. Come and say hello to adorable pandas here.

Ciqikou Old Town:

This peaceful town boasts traditional Chinese folk culture and construction, as well as hospitable residents who offer a warm welcome to visitors wanting a taste of their way of life.


Day 8   Chongqing / Xi'an transfer by flight   (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. Upon your arrival, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Free time at your own leisure.

Day 9   Xi'an   (B,L)
Visit the world-famous Terra-cotta Warriors, the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. And then the Ancient City Wall to discover further the ancient city of Xi'an.
Terracotta Warriors:

Terracotta Warriors in Xian is one of the Eight Wonders of the ancient world. It has history of more than 2200 years. Oriental mummies await you to discover its mystery!

Ancient City Wall :

It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.


Day 10   Xi'an / Beijing   transfer by flight   (B,L)
Visit the Great Mosque, one of the four grand Islamic mosques in China. And then the Gao's Courtyard, a traditional residence in the Muslim area. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Beijing. Upon your arrival, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.
Great Mosque:

With more than 1200 years' history, the mosque is one of the four grand Islamic mosques in China. It is of local features and built in Chinese architectural style.

Gao's Courtyard:

Gao's Courtyard was a traditional Chinese dwelling in the Muslim quarter, and is now displaying exhibitions of period furniture, paintings, pottery, porcelain, photos and demonstrations of folk art, including a shadow puppet play with traditional music.


Day 11   Beijing  (B,L)
Visit Tiananmen Square, the symbolical heart of China, and the Forbidden City as well as Summer Palace to see the majestic ancient architecture of China.
Tiananmen Square:

China's national symbol, also the world's largest city square, is home to various historical sites and known for the daily ritualistic flag raising ceremony. It takes 15 minutes just to walk across.

Forbidden City:

One of the world's most beautiful architectural complexes, this served as China's imperial palace for almost five centuries. Its massive scale and majestic design are overwhelming.

Summer Palace:

Once serving as the imperial summer getaway, it ranks as one of the most visited and most classical gardens in the world. Its size and splendor will leave you a lasting impression.


Day 12   Beijing  (B,L)

Visit the world-famous Great Wall at Badaling, a best preserved section of the Great Wall. Then head for the Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest) and National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) to see them from outside.

Great Wall at Badaling:

This is the best-preserved and most imposing section of the Great wall is approximately 3,741 meters (2.3 miles) long and was of great strategic importance in ancient times.

Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest):

The nest-shaped elliptic steel structure is hailed as "an icon of the Beijing 2008 Olympics" and has become a recognized landmark worldwide.

National Aquatics Center (Water Cube):

A fantastically designed cube with glowing "bubbles" emanating from it, the center holds what is believed to be the fastest pool in the world, thanks to state-of-the-art technology and design.


Day 13   Beijing  (B,L)

Visit Temple of Heaven, and discover Hutong, the centuries-old neighbourhood of Beijing with maze-like lanes by rickshaw. Go to Xiushui Street for shopping.

Temple of Heaven:

This temple complex is an architectural wonder featuring the triple-roofed "Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest" where the emperor went to worship heaven and pray for the coming harvest.

Hutong tour by rickshaw:

These narrow alleyways and deep courtyards of Hutong are the heart and soul of Beijing. A tour through them is like traveling back in time and exploring the life of the local residents.
