Always known as a paradise of natural beauty, Suzhou is also a paradise of shopping. Several large-scale pedestrian streets in Suzhou collect the essence of Suzhou specialty and crafts. Besides silk and embroidery, Suzhou offers abundance of crafts such as sandal wood folding fans, silk fans, wood cut paintings, jade carvings, calligraphy and paintings.

There is no need to visit a large number of shops in search of the best local products, because most of the larger shops have been in business for many years and offer high quality goods.

Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory: The principal silk exhibition venue in Suzhou. Its silk product display and silk fashion show are very popular.

Zhenhu Embroidery Street: The street is located in Zhenhu Town, Suzhou New District. It reaches 1,700 meters long.Over 300 embroidery shops here features shop-front-factory-rear layout.

Wujiang Dongfang Silk Market: one of Suzhou's best-known silk markets. Moreover, it's the top clothing market in China for decades.

Weitang Pearl City: The pearl products sold on the first floor of the Pearl City building are sent daily with sacks of cultured pearls harvested from the pearl farmers' own fresh watr oyster ponds. Jade, gem stones and crystal are sold on the second floor.

Suzhou Sandalwood Fans Co.Ltd.: One of the most celebrated sandalwood fan manufact in China, winning a large number of China Arts and Craft awards for ages.

Guanqian Street

Guanqian Street has a history of more than 150 years and it is well known for many time-honored shops such as Daoxiangcun Cake Shop, Qiantaixiang Silk Shop, Huangtianyuan Dumpling Shop. Its food street which is located between Taijian Lane and Bifeng Lane is well-known for Suzhou-style dishes.

Shiquan Street

It is situated in the hotel area in ancient downtown of Suzhou. The famous Nanlin Restaurant, Suzhou Restaurant and the classical Master of the Nets Garden are located on this street. Shiquan Street is well known for its craftworks like Suzhou Embroidery chinaware antique, calligraphy and painting, chinaware, silk, inscriptions, jade, rosewood articles, etc.

Shilu (Stone Road) Pedestrian Street

Shilu Pedestrian Street is quite close to the famous Shantang Historical Street. The street provides a wide range of quality garment and specialty. Xinfeng Lane here is a special street with cafes and pubs. People can enjoy the leisure life there after doing shopping.
